The aniseed is one of the oldest products known and consumed mainly in Mediterranean countries, as the plant from which it originates (Pimpinella anisum) was introduced here by the Arabs from the East. The THREE CAIRES is a product so deeply rooted in Mallorcan culture that its use has been consolidated in many different areas.

The history of dry aniseed or cazalla THREE CAIRES dates back more than 100 years and is still made in our cellars following the same traditional recipe and without the addition of artificial chemicals. The distillation process is carried out in centenary stills.
 
The name THREE CAIRES (three-edged) comes from the characteristic triangular shape of our bottle, an original idea from Jordi Perelló Serraa true entrepreneur and visionary who took the initiative to patent the design of the bottle back in year 1927, although the bottle design dates from around 1895.. 
 
During all these years, and due to its unquestionable quality, it has become a true benchmark among the liqueurs produced in MallorcaThe project is a great success, both for the local population as well as for our visitors and tourists.

It is a typical Christmas drink and is also used to make cakes or dried figs, and to make Hierbas mallorquinas.

Due to new market trends and demand from some of our customers, in 2005 we opened a new line of experimentation to bring to the market a new gourmet version of our dry aniseed. THREE CAIRES. It was a big challenge, as we had to improve our flagship product and satisfy the most demanding customers. 
 
After many tests and a great deal of research by our master craftsmen (master liqueur maker, master macerator and master still maker) we managed to overcome the challenge and, three years after having started the process, what has come to be called "the most perfect extra-dry distilled aniseed you can find on the market" was born: the TRES CAIRES Limited Edition.
 
The distillation process is carried out in centenary stills. It has a clear, bright colour and a strong, dry and persistent flavour. Its aromas are clean, frank and intense.
