Beefeater is the only international premium gin still distilled in central London, at the Kennington Distillery on the south bank of the Thames. Nine natural ingredients make up James Burrough's original recipe: juniper, angelica, lemon peel, coriander seeds, almonds, liquorice, bitter orange and orris. Macerated for twenty-four hours before being distilled, these ingredients give Beefeater gins balance and richness. The recipe remains secret and practically nothing has changed to date.
