Cutty Sark Blended Whiskey belongs to the Edrington group, which also owns such prestigious spirits as The Macallan, Brugal, The Famous Grouse, Highland Park. The name comes from one of the last clipper-type sailboats to be built in 1869. It was the fastest ship of the time, which evoked that this was a whiskey if the heaviness of that time, which also provided the color that showed that no caramel was added. This whiskey is aged in American oak barrels that give the product more subtle and complex flavors. Once matured, the malts are mixed with each other and with the Grain whiskey, or grain whiskeys. This process gives Cutty Sark its characteristic colour, flavour, harmony… The Cutty Sark Blended 5 Year Old Whiskey received 89 points in the 2012 Penin guide.

PAIRING:

It is especially recommended for the typical cocktail, "Cutty with Cola", or with water that helps the whiskey to open aromas.
