Grapes from vineyards planted 30 years ago, selected and harvested in the vineyards that surround the winery's facilities. Average altitude of 400 m.
Combination of loamy, loamy clay soils with abundant boulders, which confers good maturity and quality to the grape's tannins, favoring the obtaining of wines suitable for long aging. The subsoil has good internal drainage, with cracks through which the roots of the vine penetrate to search deep for nutrients and water when needed, giving the wine consistency and body. These soils are excellent for growing top-quality wine and enhance the expressiveness of the Tempranillo.
The different grape varieties are vinified separately under strict temperature control, following maceration and extraction techniques depending on the potential of each one of them. Alcoholic fermentation for 10 days at a maximum temperature of 28ºC. Maceration in contact with the skins for 15 days at 18ºC
Subsequently, a malolactic fermentation and racking are carried out, after which the first coupage is placed in barrels.
The aging takes place for 36 months in American oak barrels. After this, a minimum rest of two years in the bottle begins.
Deep plum red with a high layer and intense reflections.
Ripe black fruit, balsamic notes, light toasted notes. Complexity.
Round tannic structure in the mouth, complexity and maturity. Balanced, tasty and enveloping. Slight spicy nuances. Long, well structured, expressive and persistent mid palate.
