Venta Jalón is the name with which the ancient locals baptized the place on which Bodega Rioja Vega stands today.
Estate 17 of Venta Jalón was planted 20 years ago in clay loam soil with the presence of boulders, favoring wines with good concentration, varietal profiles and ripe tannins.
Conditions are favorable throughout the cycle, somewhat more complicated at the end of the harvest. Green operations such as thinning and health care are decisive. Harvest on normal dates in our area.
Alcoholic fermentation of 8 days. Maceration with skins for 10 days. Maximum fermentation temperature of 29ºC.
Stay in American and French oak barrels for two years followed by a minimum rest of 9 months in the bottle.
Imposing presence, high layer still with a purple component. It came with a lot of its own entity.
Deep aromas, varietals and the terroir from which it comes predominate. They are balsamic and spicy.
Firm attack, with body and warmth. Slight mineral nuances in its course. Well structured, expressive and persistent.
